As expected - in Western the bad guy had always the black hat, nowadays he has the black windows. |

I just saw the movie again, and this w126 is a 1989-1991. Look at the interior after Barry Newman opens the door and gets out with the shotgun, the interior shows it's an '89-'91 model. The door panels have the diagonal stitching and grouped leather. The commentary of this movie is excellent, especially listening to Barry Newman talk about putting his training from Carey Loftin to good use while shuffling the Benz through all those canyons in Los Angeles. He said he scared the hell out of the camera guy in the car with him. For those who don't know who Carey Loftin is, he is a legendary stunt guy who organized the chase sequence for "Bullit," and he drove the Ferrari in "Against All Odds." He did talk about Carey Loftin a bit more and about "Vanishing Point." He did much more, but those are my favorites. |
