There no such thing as a "AK-Series": AK was a model code given only to the 1941 ½-ton model (BK for the 1942 equivalent, DP for 1946) while the trucks with a bigger ton-rating had different codes. This truck line is (unofficially) known as Art Deco, and was made from 1941 until 1947. This truck has the 1946+ bumper of the medium-duty models (1-ton 3800 / 1½-ton 4000-Series) and of the heavy-duty ones (1½-ton Special 6000S-Series / 2-ton 6000-Series). It seems to be made on the 160" / 4.06 m wheelbase, so it's either a 4400, a 6400S or a 6400. → 1946 'Art Deco', with nothing more. |
