1950 also. It's a sedan, you see the divider in the rear window, but not if it's a Tudor or Fordor. -- Last edit: 2007-10-06 13:00:06 |

1950 Ford Custom DeLuxe, it has the vent window at the rear. The actor's leg is hiding the rest but I suspect that if this was a Fordor some part of the rear door opening shape would have been visible between the front of the rear wheel arch and the leg. |

It's a Tudor. On the Fordor, the rear "vent" window is less triangular and the slope on the right side of the triangle is not as gradual. Also, in the actual movie, the car can be clearly seen as a Tudor without the actors blocking the view. This shot is from one of my favorite scenes in the movie. The actor on the right is saying to Robert Mitchum "that's right man... we've got mills that will blow that heap of yours right off the road". Thunder Road is still a great flick... bloopers and all! |

Changed to 1951. Thanks, Barry. "I GOT IT I CUT OUT THE FENDER WELLS AND PUT SLICKS ON IT AND A SUPER CHARGER" I don't know what slicks are but this part doesn't sound so good. |

Race tires... Called slicks due to the lack of tread. |
