I don't agree with you "pilou"...either it is an ISO RIVOLTA Grifo A3/C, or it is a BIZZARINI GT5300 Strada, but it can't named as Iso Grifo Bizzarini Strada GT. Giotto Bizzarini worked for ISO RIVOLTA for 2 years around(1963/65)and designed a new chassis based on the previous IR300 in 2 different versions A3/L (L for Lusso) and A3/C (C for Corsa)...these 2 models were presented in 1963 in Torino,as A3/L Grifo and A3/C Grifo. The A3/C had a different shape, was lower and had a shorter wheelbase, specially designed for GT. Very few models (only 24) of the A3/C were produced under the make ISO in 1964... Few months later, Bizarrini and Rivolta split and found a gentlemen's agreement for separating their activities. The A3/L will be produced by ISO and become the Grifo GL300 or 350, while BIZARRINI will herit the A3/C under his own name ==> the A3/C was slightly modified and became the BIZARRINI GT5300 Strada, production starded in 1965 There were around 130 Bizarrini GT5300 Strada produced..the make stopped around 1969. Now, considering the date of this film, we can assume it could be an ISO RIVOLTA A3/C Grifo rather than a BIZZARINI GT3500 Strada... |

Based on some research and comparisons (photographs and articles), car #35 is probably a 1965 Bizzarini GT 5300 Strada. -- Last edit: 2005-11-15 10:05:21 |
