Yes, you can see the "Florett"-sign on the tank.

'Bromfietsen' is the Dutch plural for mopeds, 'bromfiets' is the singular. It means: bicycle that makes a buzzing or grumbling noise, buzzbike. But it's just a word, not a name. Mofa is the German word for bromfiets.

Moped is a swedish word witch is short for Motor + Pedals

I was thinking Bromfietsen are Pommes frites :)

In Germany:
Mofa -> Motor + Fahrrad (bicycle), (50ccm, 25km/h)
Moped -> Motor + Pedale 40km/h (now i think it is 50km/h)
Mokick -> Motor + Kickstarter (50ccm, 40Km/h, two-seater)
Kleinkraftrad (50cc, no limit)
Leichtkraftrad (80cc, 80km/h)
Kraftrad (Bike) (no limit)

It is not generally known that the Dutch run their bromfietsen on mayonnaise ...

Is this a version which was specifically made for The Netherlands? The nickname alone does not justify a 'Made for: NL' label.

I have removed the comb-effect from the original image and replaced it.

The yellow plate on the front was used on all bromfietsen (bikes with an engine upto 50 cc) and I think it was like that only in Holland. But still, I don't think 'bromfiets' should be mentioned, since we don't put 'car' to all cars or 'bus' to all buses ;)
