This is a Mercedes (without the Benz) type K (Kompressor, hence Supercharged) Sports roadster by Sindelfingen (Mercedes own coachworks factory). Nice concept, with poor brakes. In 1926 this was the car that made Mercedes ask Porsche to come and revamp it, and th e S-type (always with supercharger) was the result.

I have no information on this specific car (it must belong to someone's collection) but I would agree on the model. Still the exact name is not correct.

This model was developed at the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and first sold as the Mercedes 24/100/140 PS (1924-26). Ex-works available body styles were a six-seater tourer, a six-seater Pullman limousine, a six-seater coupé limousine, a six-seater Pullman cabriolet, a landaulet and a four-door cabriolet. It was also sold as chassis only.

In 1926 the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft merged with Benz & Cie. to form the Daimler-Benz AG. From then on all cars were named Mercedes-Benz. The car was kept in production and renamed to Mercedes-Benz Typ 630 (1926–1929).

Additionally the Mercedes-Benz Modell K (24/100/140 PS) (1926–1928) was introduced. It had a shorter chassis (3400 mm instead 3750 mm wheelbase) and was availabe as a four-door sports four-seater and a two-door roadster (which we probably see here).

In 1928 the Modell K received a uprated engine (24/110/160 PS) which was then also used for the Typ 630. Production ceased in 1929.

To sum it up, if this body was made in the Daimler-Benz own Sindelfingen works it is a Mercedes-Benz Modell K (24/100/140 PS) (1926–1928) or possibly the Mercedes-Benz Modell K (24/110/160 PS) (1928–1929).

The chassis code for all models between 1924 and 1929 was [W9456].
