 Seeing as how this is filmed in NZ this is probably an Australian assembled Chrysler Lancer - any comments nzcarnerd

 I would think NZ assembled Mitsubishi - assembled at Todd Park 1976-80 - an NA model with the 1236cc engine probably. We didn't see this model as a Chrysler as far as I know.
