It should be the Morris Oxford Series V ? From model year 1960 to 1961. I think Australia and New Zealand had the same models as the UK but with a slightly larger engine.... http://www.co-oc.org/Ox%20V.html Morris by the badge on the bonnet, so not an Austin. Needs confirmation I think. |

I agree it's an Oxford Series V launched in March 1959. |

Re Sunbar's comment re engine size. As far as I know these early Farinas had the 1500cc B engine and then the later ones had the 1622cc engine. The same as UK as far as I know. |

The only information I have is that Nairn Hindaugh, an Australian Cambridge Oxford owners club member, wrote the following as part of a history of the Austin Freeway here http://www.co-oc.org/Freeway.html . "Late in 1959, the Austin A60, Morris Oxford Series V and Wolseley 15/60 were introduced to the Australian market. Identical in most ways to their British counterparts, they differed only in the size of the B Series engine 1622cc against 1489cc. Australia was the first country to have this engine, almost 2 years before the UK market. Hence the A60 instead of A55 Mark II." -- Last edit: 2007-08-31 11:36:10 |

You're right, Sunbar. I didn't take into account that the action was in New Zealand. So, 1960+. |
