I've seen this car on display at Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas (where the show was filmed). |

On the fifth season DVD set, the special feature is a tour of the actual Southfork Ranch and show museum on the property. The museum has this actual car on display--and on the DVD set it states this car was a 1978 Lincoln Continental...not a '77. I'm sure the ranch and museum people are experts on anything related to the show, and know what they're talking about. So, the year for Jock's Lincoln here should be changed to a 1978. -- Last edit: 2012-05-16 08:21:48 |

No reason to believe that's wrong, so I'll make the change. |

Cool! It could have been a '77 or '78...hard to tell. But, I figure people involved with the show know what they're talking about. This is an awesome old Lincoln...wish I had it, or one like it. |

One thing - the surviving car has steel rims (presently with incorrect wheel covers), and the exterior shot car shown here has aluminum turbine rims. However, indoor/studio shots use a car with standard wheel covers on steel rims. Chances are this is the car that survives at the Southfork Ranch. -Kurt |
