Austin 12 I think, but needs confirmation.

Three cars are used in the movie.

However two of them are part of a continuity error. They were supposedly the same car. The first was filmed in London then a different registration was used in Cambridge.

I can confirm it is the Austin Twelve or similar bodied Austin Sixteen. The Twelve was dropped along with the smaller Eight and Ten in 1947 in favour of the new A40, but the Sixteen stayed in production up to 1949. As 34,434 Sixteen compared to 10,628 Twelve were built I would suggest to use 'Austin Sixteen' [BS1] (1945-49).

Thank you Alexander.

'Austin Sixteen' appears to be used mostly in Austin brochures, alongside '16hp' in the illustrations.

I guess standardising on 'Austin Sixteen' (also 'Eight', 'Ten' and 'Twelve', for the post-war models) is preferable as both are listed on IMCDb.
