jpts ◊ 2024-01-31 17:34	This scene was an reenactment of the murder of Gambino hitman and Gotti's bodyguard, Bartholomew "Bobby" Boriello who was shot by Lucchese hitman Frank "Big Frank" Lastorino on the orders of Lucchese Underboss, Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso outside Boriello's family home on Bay 29th Street in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn on the night of the 13th April 1991. At the time of his murder, Boriello was under investigation by the Federal authorities and the King's County District Attorney's Office for being a mastermind behind a drug importation ring and for his involvement in the murder of former Gambino Boss and head of the Commission, Paul Castellano who was shot along with his driver and former Gambino Underboss, Tommy Bilotti outside the Sparks Steak House on East 46th Street on the night of the 16th December 1985. It was believed that Casso ordered Boriello's murder based on information provided by corrupt NYPD detectives and "Mafia Cops", Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa that Boriello was "meddling in Casso's business" and had sent Lastorino to kill Boriello to send "a message" to Gotti, while it is believed that Boriello was killed as a result of a "unrelated vendetta" with Genovese crime family associate Preston Geritano who Boriello shot at months earlier. -- Last edit: 2024-01-31 18:50:32
