I assume that this is either a Wolseley Oxford Hire Car (1946-55) or a pre-war Beardmore (Mk.V or Mk.VI). So far I have no images to confirm any of this. It is not idential to this taxi: vehicle_11442-Austin-FX3.html which is not an Austin, but probably the other of the two named above. |

1939 Austin 12/4 Lowloader Taxi (three wipers not two and a narrow radiator unlike the Wolseley wider radiator). Few of these were made because of the war years and the introduction of the FX3 shortly after the war. |
