Also the only Wolfsburg Rabbit Convertible of this vintage that came in black is the 1984 Montego Black Metallic and it only came in a triple black with black Tarantula wheels.

an_unusual_eye ◊ 2010-08-10 04:42	"eye"... but i'm that too. agreed on both points. that one probably should be on that fender, but lower, and doesn't seem to be there. it almost looks like someone took the "KARMANN" badges off, and added the "Rabbit FUEL INJECTION" badge with the bunny that belongs on the trunk lid to the fender instead...

It is indeed a Wolfsburg Edition, as evidenced by a) the white roundel on the fender, b) the color combination. It is a 1987 Wolfsburg Edition... Graphite Metallic with white top and white leather interior with Avus wheels to be specific.
