Another one, at the same place 8 years later:![[Image: volvo015728jv5.218.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/0is293/volvo015728jv5.218.jpg) I do not know if it is supposed to be the same one, but the one in main picture above is only seen at the beginning of the movie, set 8 years earlier than the story. Maybe they took another one to make it look older, as it is supposed to be. But then why is the plate different? both are the same I believe, but the first one seems to have mirrors in body colour. Anyway a 940 |

I've just seen the film, so I think I can figure this out. IIRC, the car at the beginning is registered in departmment 78, which is Yvelines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvelines It's stated that the bodies were discovered in Ramboullet forest, which is in Yvelines. So Becks' father's farm could be in the same department, which would explain why the Volvo has a 78 registration. Eight years later, Beck is living and working in Paris. If you move to a different department, you have to re-register your car, so it now has a 75 registration. |
