There are 2 Simca 8 Sport in this group. This one has a the split windscreen, model = 1950. But a specific grill.

For me this is not a 1950 Simca Huit Sport Cabriolet but a late 1951 Simca Huit Sport Cabriolet. It has the grille with the three thick horizontal curved bars surmounted by a " Moustache" that was standard on the last Simca Huit Sport Series built between october 1951 and january 1952 ( cassis numbers 913542-932207).The Cabriolets of this last Huit Series still kept the two piece windshield , possibly for structural reasons , whereas the Coupes had a one piece windshield that had been introduced somewhat earlier in 1951. So , one cannot generalise and say all 1950 cars = split windscreen and later cars =one piece windscreen. One has to distinguish between Cabriolets and Coupes. The production of the Cabriolets was not pursued after january 1952 and the first Simca Neuf Sport on the Aronde platform (Coupe only) was launched in april 1952 ( fiches techniques Cheval Mécanique , 11/12 Simca 8 Sport , Simca 9 Sport).

The blue coupe in the background is Aston Martin DB3/3 Vignale Coupe (rebody) of Mike Sparken.
