(Picture taken 5 km from AnimatronixX headquarters, with 'my' old 1963 Sixty Special company car in the background) Did you know about the accident that happened when this was filmed? No?? Ok, wait for an exclusive illustrated backstory!
Animatronixx ◊ 2021-04-05 16:26	OK, here we go: The Cadillac was placed near the river. Engine and transmission had been removed in order to keep the weight low, because the car was secured with a rope. Sandbags were put inside to make it look like a fully roadworthy Cadillac Sedan. According to the script, the car was meant to roll backwards towards the river - don't worry, it's all good and secured with a rope, remember? And then - you probably guessed it - the rope wasn't strong enough... In the aftermath, a very blurry person from the crew had to take a dive and rescue the drowned Cadillac. How? Well, they now had two ropes, you know... A very short one and a longer one, which did the job. And this is why you better don't bring really good cars to a movie set! I wasn't present on location and I never watched that movie, so I don't know if the Cadillac making a splash ended up in the final version, but if it didn't, it deserves a platinum "Wasted Opportunity Award".
