Well,
If you look in Wikipedia, they speak about a Cord 810 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_Savage:_The_Man_of_Bronze
And Wiki gives us a new link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cord_Automobile#Cord_Model_810
It looks better than kit cars I've seen so far.

having looked at pics of preserved vehicles pilou is right to say that the running boards are a no no for this vehicle..perhaps it IS a real Cord..but has been modified for the movie to look more like the vehicle as portrayed in the comic book of the same name..modifications including "DOC SAVAGE" wording to the bonnet sides..running boards..modified front fender..does anyone have access to a period comic book picture..also, the end of this movie suggests Ron Ely was to come back in a future Doc savage movie...was it ever made..Wikipedia mentions an aborted attempt with another actor in the role.

The 810 was the unblown version of the supercharged 812, and did not have the chromed external exhaust pipes seen on these photos. I have, as precisely as is possible from these pics, measured the length of the front fender, and it seems about OK, but I could not find a 810/812 Cord with running boards anywhere. The other details look authentic, although the shape of the grille vanes on this one bothers me a bit - on all the other pictures I find they have straight, chromed front edges. Taking into consideration that, in the two years that the 810/ 812 was produced, fewer than 2500 of them were sold, the chances are that this is a kit/ copy (but a good one).

further to my info..its a 1970s glassfibre replica, based on a Chevrolet.

info received from a Cord specialist:

"The Cord in "Doc Savage: Man of Bronze" is not a replica. It is an original Cord phaeton with running boards added."
