"Carnell International Tours" of Sheffield. Couldn't get a definite read on the plate - seems POO 639M, but the Os could be C or G and numbers might be 538 or similar mix. Immediately followed by a 2nd Carnell coach with what looks like "Panorama Elite II" badging |

There are quite a number of vehicles listed under Carnell Sheffield, who appear to have had a mixed taste in suppliers from Bedford to Kassbohrer, but none match the plate or its possible variants. Apparently the firm went into liquidation after the miner's strike. Panorama Elite is a Plaxton name. -- Last edit: 2017-07-10 16:25:07 |

I'd go with that. Obviously the list in Bus Lists on the Web isn't exhaustive. |

Searching for an operator on BLOTW only returns vehicles bought new by them. It must indeed be PDO 639M, which was a Duple Dominant-bodied Volvo B58-56 new to Elsey's Coaches, Gosberton in May 1974. |
