Found in the parking lot of a stock car track as a factory stock Mercury it was given a very hasty roof chop that included the rear glass being dropped down into the trunk - rather than cutting it to fit the new rear window opening. |

Not a perfect Kustom, definitely not the best-looking I've ever seen, or even too typical/traditional for the film setting, but a decent attempt, anyway. .gif ":)") Edit: Even though I (obviously) wasn't around in '62, and cannot claim to have seen every customised car out there, it seems somewhat hypocritical for me to say what is/was 'Traditional'. There's a lot of debates about this sort of thing over on the Hamb. I think it's just the colour, shabby roof-chop, rear window, higher ride height and those weird hubcaps that make me say "non-typical". I met the owner of this car 15 years ago. Very interesting story. Was definitely movie car quality in the details and the owners wanted to stay as such. I would do the same. |
