Looks somewhat newer than your average needle-nosed Kenworth. |

Narrow hood W900A, no way to give it a specific model number without seeing the rear suspension. A W924 would have a 55000# GVW air or spring suspension which a typical road tractor would not have. Most highway tractors would be designated W923 (44000# spring or air suspension) or W925 ( torsion bar suspension). Also, '65 and newer cab, '72 and older door handles, so '65-'72 for the year. |

I'm not a Kenworth expert, but don't you confuse with the change that took place in 1961, when the W-900 superseded the 900-Series? The cabs of these 2 truck lines are indeed different, but is there really something different between the cab of a 1961-66 W-900 "pre-A" and the one a 1967-82 W-900 A (except the door after the 1972+ change, of course)? I any case, the truck of the movie has a narrow hood, which, combined with the lack of the small lamps (blinkers? park lamps?) on the headlamps, makes it most probably a 1961-67 "pre-A" model. |
