That's different car interior. Wipers don't fit.

Ah, can't believe I didn't notice that and it took more than 5 years for someone to point that out. :p
In that case, it probably belongs to the Mini Ram Van seen behind the Mercedes in the first thumbnail.

In U.K. the first copper that saw it would stop it.

Probably a 100 quid fine and 3 points on your licence, the reg's are there so the Muppet driving can see out of the vehicle at night, the same rules apply to motorcycle visors and screens but not sunglasses for some reason.

In case you don’t understand the effect of three points on your licence, if you build up twelve points it can mean a year’s ban from driving. Since you can also get three points for, amongst other things, a worn tyre, parking in the wrong place, or being a few mph over the speed limit, avoid black glass in the front if in U.K. if you like to drive your car.

The police may also assume you are a drug dealer, and that can be far worse, apparently.

Perfectly legal in California (front windows up to 70% tinted)
but not all US states. https://www.raynofilm.com/blog/automotive-window-tint-laws-by-state

very idiot laws!i have my car tinted all the way 5% and the front windshield something like 50 or darker i forget procentage, and i had all the cars like that in the last 13 years and is very good and private
PS: in UK ,YAYA TOURE the football player, has all his cars tinted all the way, just google him and cars

Not idiot laws at all, if you can't see throught the windows, unfortunate pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists become invisible and end up dead. As a motorcyclist and occasional pedestrian, I resent the idea that my life could be put in danger because of what someone else thinks is cool or fashionable.

As for Yaya Toure, he's a footballist and therefore his judgement on anything other than kicking a pigs bladder is questionable.

the biggest problem is people say "you can't see throught the windows" but they haven't even tested to see how it is!!!
You can see without any problem also at night specialy if you got a good brand of film!I remember years ago when i had a vw passat and 1 layer 5% on the front sides was to light for me and the garage put 2 layers and i could see also at night without problems:)
The sun is very powerfull and bad for health and also for the interior of the car and also thieves can not see whats inside and the glass is harder to smash!

It doesn’t matter how idiot you might think the law is, break it too many times and the only thing you will be looking at is the handlebars of your push bike. Tinted glass (legal) is fitted all round my car, but the main effect is to render reactive glasses at best slower to change, and at worst ineffective. As a wearer of glasses since 1953, I need all the help I can get.

This geek law is only for people who live there and have english licensplates or if i come with my car from my country just wisiting is no problem??

Not geek anything, this is the law accepted by us as voters in a democracy. If we take our cars abroad, we follow the rules, if you bring your car here, you follow ours. It is no different from breaking the speed limit, or driving with alcohol in your blood, if caught you could be in court and, for instance, if you have no insurance, which might apply if your car does not meet our construction and use regulations, your car could be confiscated and crushed.

"this is the law accepted by us as voters in a democracy"

Maybe after Brexit, it's actually an EEC directive, so illegal in all EU countries including his neighbours like Romania.

johnfromstaffs EN

2018-06-13 00:08

It’s in the law here

https://europa.eu/european-union/eu-law/legal-acts_en

So after Brexit, unless it is repealed, it will remain a law of this land. (and the other lands in GB unless things are changed.)

The directive was superseded by EU regulation in 2014. Definitely written in Brussels and in force.

"No tinted films that would reduce the regular light transmission under the required minimum shall be permitted on the windscreen and on the glazing located in front of the ‘B’ pillar."

johnfromstaffs EN

2018-06-13 12:38

My point was that having been enacted as law here while it was still a directive, unless a specific measure has been taken to repeal the particular law here, after Brexit the law will still exist in U.K.

Post Brexit, Brussels or no Brussels, any directive or regulation would have no effect but extant English law will.
