1925 McLaughlin Buick .It is a right hand drive unit , equipped with English lighting equipment and the fender standing lights that were compulsary in the UK.1925 Fisher bodies may be spotted by the one piece windshield repacing the former horizontally split windshield. The car is still equipped with a motometer radiator water temperature gauge.Model ?Standard or Master hars to tell here. |

I do not think that this is a 1925 car, although McLaughlin Buick looks right. The registration letters OP are a Birmingham series and were not allocated for use until August 1926, and the follow on series OX, until July 1927 so, unless the car was imported and not registered until it was about two years old it can't be 1925. Mc Laughlin Buicks were built in Canada to escape import duty levied upon all foreign, ie outside the British Empire, cars, the tax being referred to as the McKenna duties. Some Buicks were assembled at the General Motors factory at Hendon. The car looks to me like a 1927 25/75 Sedan. -- Last edit: 2011-08-09 19:55:46 |

Tidying up the McLaughlins. The designation 25/75 is a typo. It should be 27-27. |
