The badge on the radiator says "Coles", which was a mobile crane manufacturer. Does anyone know who supplied the chassis? The cab looks coachbuilt, and the radiator could be disguised AEC.

From the Royal Air Force registration.

32AC48 is listed as 1956 AEC O854 Coles 10 Ton Mobile Crane. Chassis Code [O854] indicates AEC 6x6.

Most details appear to match, although the front-on view seems to make the cab front less angled.

Looking at the descriptions again it appears that Coles built it from the AEC chassis. So that is why the AEC badge has been deleted and the Coles badge fitted.

Although the RAF describe it as an "AEC O854 Coles" crane, the manufacturer is more correctly "Coles" using an AEC O854 chassis.
