I don't think that name existed until 1971. I'm thinking Dynamic 88 Fiesta, or something like that. -- Last edit: 2009-09-07 22:06:03 |

Was the Dynamic 88 the only badge applied to fullsize Olds wagons back then? When I look up '59 Olds wagon, thats the only model that pops up, and I think they kept using that name until 1964. |

There was a wagon in the "88"(#3235) and the "Super 88"(#3535) lines. Both were called "Fiesta". |

From the other picture it does not seem to have the bright side lower body strip of the Super 88's .1959 Oldsmobile 88 Fiesta Station Wagon ( # 3235) |

Probably. I did not specify because I did not feel the photo was clear enough to tell for certain. -- Last edit: 2009-09-08 16:17:20 |

It is tutone, and, if I may, I question pilou's statement that this is in the "88" series. To my knowledge, which I admit is limited against more actual experience, the three series that existed for model year 1959 were Dynamic 88, Super 88, and Ninety-Eight. Agree that this having the shorter rear trim (no extensions forward of the rear bumper wraparound) this should be in the base series: Dynamic 88. |
