Firstly, let me give props to my dad for giving me my love for automobiles. Growing up, I remember him owning gas stations, car washes, tire stores and finally an auto upholstery business. I learned a lot about cars from him. As a kid, I would spend my paper route money on Matchbox cars. He would always bring me home more he found tucked in the seats of cars he was fixing for dealers. And my mother always told stories about me as a 4 year old amazing the adults at the Barber Shop by telling them what kind of car they drove.
Putting myself through college, I landed a job as a janitor at a Toll Plaza. This was a good chance to see many different cars of the 1960s and 70s. I also met my wife of some 30+ years there.
Over the years, I have owned a 1961 Dodge Conv, a 1962 Mercury Comet, a 1963 Tempest LeMans, a 1964 Bel Air, a 1967 Dodge Polara, a 1976 Plymouth Volare (UGH), 2 1984 Corollas, a 1990 Mitsubishi Gallant and a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback. The Volare started me on my run of Japanese cars.
One final note, I actually live in New England, not at the Vatican. This was a boo-boo when I initially signed on. But I was an altar boy and in the choir so I decided to leave it.
Many thanks to whoever statrted this site. I am having a great time here.
