Profile for user Firebird86 - Country: USA (United States of America)

Im Mike aka Firebird86: I wanted to relate a story
about my encounter with Mr Evil Knieval. In 1977 I was employed by Sunny's
Wrecker Sevice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We held the contract for all The
towing for the Fort Lauderdale Police Dept, I was called out late one
evening to remove an illegally parked car in front of Brothers III lounge on
Sunrise Blvd " a 6 lane divided Highway". Upon arriving at the scene, with
the police, I noticed an unusual looking vehicle parked in the middle of the
grassy median strip, I was told to remove and impound it. The vehicle was a
white Cadillac Mirage, If I remember correctly , it was a 1974. "Evil-1"
was the license plate . I towed the Caddy to our Sunrise Blvd compound,
approximately 4 hours later a highly aggitated and emotionally charged Evil
Knieval showed up, with his Public Relations agent. Evils P.R. agent did a
wonderful job of restraining Evil, who wanted a big piece of whoever towed
the car. Evil paid the tow bill and while driving out, he stopped the car
and asked specifically who had towed this Caddy, being 23 at the time, and
convinced I was going to live forever I said "I did" and stepped forward, He
approached me, " I began to re-evaluate my decision to step up. Evil reached
out and shook my hand stating that he appreciated me not tearing up his car
while towing it off, I replied " just doing my job sir " He chuckled turned
and got in the car and left. That was my little episode with Evil. I really
enjoy the IMCdb site, I will be adding more to my profile as time permits Thank you
