An amusing film about a middle class paedophile set in Bradford. Surprised they chose the Rover SD1 for Bob's car, a Granada 2.8 Injection (Sport) would have been my choice.

Bob was no paedophile, or even a hebephile. Both girls were at least 16 and very obviously sexually mature.

Saw this film the 1980s and was envious of Bob's car and house back then!

Bob was meant to be 27 in the original stage play and the girls were 15/16.
George Costigan, who played Bob was in his late 30s in the film, so the age difference was more marked than in the original play.

The story is more about the girl's friendship and Bob is their escape from their mundane lives.

Bob thought he was in control, but in fact the females were controlling him!

George (Bob) didn't actually have a full driving licence and so a crew member had to be with him in the driving scenes on public roads!
