"The F-16 stolen by Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner was actually a full-scale mock-up powered by a 350ci Chevrolet engine, if you look closely you can see the driveshafts running from the belly of the plane to the wheels on the landing gear."

Fulfills many criteria of IMCDB: Wheels, driven by engine, can't fly, can't swim. :D
The 2-seater trainer version was sold much less often than the 1-seat fighter.
