^ White truck parked in front of Ministry of Defence: Unusual late Commer PB pickup, probably Dodge badged. |
◊ 2012-03-17 19:31 |
-The red and white pick-up parked behind the green Chevrolet Caprice seems to be a Dodge D-Series from the 70s. -The black and silver coupe could perhaps be rather a Chevrolet Corvette Convertible aka C3. -The pick-up with crew cab and military-markings parked behind the halftrack seems to be a Dodge from the 1960s. -The black sedan parked next to the Bedford TK appears to be another late 70s Caprice/Impala. -No idea about the black car heading towards Trafalgar Square (Ford Maverick maybe??? Must have been quite rare in the UK),sorry. -Red sedan, puzzled together should be a Toyota (most probably Corolla aka E70). -The black sedan is a Vauxhall. -The white car with the vinyl roof is a 1976+ Ford Taunus TC. -The Starsky&Hutch-wannabe is a Opel Kadett B. -The yellow car is probably a Simca 1100. -The station wagon is indeed a Ford Granada Turnier (Mk II, 1982-facelift). -The Mercedes belongs to the W115-series. -The Transit is a 1978+-version. -The black sedan seems to be a Buick. -The SUV could be a Ford Bronco. -The red coupe in "Feldstadt" is a 1975+ Ford Escort MkII; the blue car should be an Austin Allegro. And the white coupe with the creme roof is a ca.1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. |

The black sedan parked next to the Bedford TK is actually a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. |

Dodge unknown: I see a 1977-1979 Ford Ranchero Chevrolet Corvette and Cadillac unknown: The Corvette looks like a 1978 Indy Pace Car Edition |

To me the 9 new cars waiting to be validated are not worth listing: you should put them in comments like the others above. Except maybe the Capri... |

That looks like Mazda 323. |

Monte carlo is 1973-77. Its hard to see the taillights to really be sure. The red car next to it almost looks like an early Chevy Vega. |

Green hatchback is a 1977 Mazda 323, BUT the black sedan is NOT a Vauxhall Cavalier but an Opel Ascona B for the UK market, where it was sold with success for a while. |

Its not fully a UK-market Ascona. The picture of the green Ford Grenada reveals that its a LHD country. Both, the Grenada and Mercedes going the other direction are not RHD like UK-market cars are. Not sure how much of a difference that might make, though. -- Last edit: 2012-11-30 19:37:19 |

@cko - I think Robi's added the black Ascona (which is UK location and looks top spec with alloys and front spoiler, plus later bumpers. It also has a coachline so special edition??). Picture not yet validated, but look for it in the thumbs on this page as "Vauxhall unknown". The orange Ascona is LHD in Germany, as you say. |

I was looking at the vehicles that where Identified in Octopussy and saw that no one tried to identify the buggy at the gas station. I have done some searching and I believe it is a buggy belonging to Poty Enterprises specifically a Sand Rover T everything seems to match the grille and the fenders and the angled edges. I went to http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/registry/PotyEnterprises. Now the only thing that doesn't match is that the one in the movie is completely open where the doors would normally go. Poty Enterprises did make a log entry model but I can't find any pictures of the low entry model only another model that has the same look as the one on the movie. It is all fiberglass but u can get a variety of hoods and bodies. all the pieces seem to fit if u mix them up. If i am wrong please let me know |

Where is this on the movie page? |
◊ 2012-12-16 18:03 |
It is not listed nor mentioned anywhere it seems, but some buggy is visible here for example. |

Well not especially background so I've made a page: /vehicle.php?id=557988 |

Aside from the US-spec Accord I also spotted a car with a Starsky and Hutch paintjob just before it appeared. Rootes-crap slightly suspected... |
