This movie was awared with three "Goyas" (Spanish Oscars), two of them very important like to the best motion picture of 2007 and best Director, its been even replayed in several cinemas due to the lack of audience it had firstly, the film is filmed with no cuts in the sequences, several cameras film each sequence in once and you sometimes see one angle, or two angles at the same time with the screen split in two, so sometimes in a conversation you just see one of the characters for a while, then the other one from another angle and the back to the first angle, so it is not like in a normal film where in a conversation there are many cuts and the camera is constantly chaning so you can see both characters, there are really long sequences using just the same angle like the bus one for example, you see what is supposed to be a whole trip from a stop to another with no cuts. It is very well done and i thought it would be more boring but i cannot say i found it boring at all, it has a very slow and paced rythm there's even no music, but the dialogues are so real-life-like that makes the movie to be very realistic, as a comment on imdb says -"Pure life, with no additives"-. Here's an example of how the movie looks like -- Last edit: 2008-03-10 21:38:29 |

Indeed! Now I'm very interested to see this film. How many times do they use the split screen Adri? |

Hi i was about to suggest it to you but i hesitated because of the language, they use the split screen practically along the whole movie and when they dont they show you just one character while the other one is talking but you dont see him/her on the screen, note that the movie has a title in english so perhaps you find some release with subtitles in english. If you watch it let me know what you thought. |
