Ce film d'Yves Boisset, dont l'action se situe de 1936 à 1939, est une sorte de pamphlet anti-militariste et, comme tous les pamphlets, assez lourdement écrit. La reconstitution est néanmoins très soignée, si les personnages sont parfois des caricatures.

Lucas Belvaux est excellent.

Pas mal de véhicules, dont une très rare chenillette anti-chars.

Among the numerous vehicles of this not so bad antimilitarist film, you'll find a light tracked armoured tank destroyer.
