Discovered this film had been opened (long ago?) by unknown, but left blank with just a page without picture for a Unimog. So I've backfilled. It is an unusually stark film - 2 men on the run are chased across arid terrain in an un-named country (filmed in Spain) by a sinister black helicopter. No explanation why/who/where - just a long chase. Well worth watching, and may have inspired Spielberg's Duel for some of its themes. Difficult to describe - some reviews call it an existential film, but that probably means they couldn't think of any better words. But it's a strange film for imcdb - apart from the distant Unimog sightings there's only this upturned wreck But for impdb, millions of shots of the helicopter (would be 4, maybe even 5) Apparently it's an SA318C Alouette II Astazou, which was was the first production helicopter to use a gas turbine engine instead of the conventional heavier piston powerplant. |

The upturned wreck looks like it was a woody station wagon that rotted away, like this 1950 Ford. -- Last edit: 2017-01-15 01:03:22 |
