I'm surprised this hadn't been added before. Maybe it's not that known outside of Britain.

In France so far, Ken Loach films are much more known since the 1980's than from this era...

Pics upgraded with timings added. No new entries, but a couple of rejects:

- Viva HB 2 door Deluxe

- AEC bus, 2-tone green (a Barnsley livery??), smelled double-decker but can't confirm, open back with pole

Searching the BLOTW list using “Barnsley” as a filter no double deck buses are shown. The grille is that generally found on the Regent V, but the only AEC buses showing against that placename are Duple bodied coaches apparently on Regal chassis.

Perhaps some more digging on the livery might strike oil, or maybe that logo strikes a note somewhere.

Leeds City Transport had a lot of AEC Regent V d/d buses with Roe or MCW coachwork, the colours and the logo appear to be similar, this may be one of those.

The only clear part of my screencap on Buses on Screen is the Leeds logo :-) - Barnsley was a Yorkshire Traction stronghold.

Thanks Steve.

Should have gone straight to your site, but maybe that would have been too sensible!

However, being a dyed in the wool Midlander, I would have had to look up the Leeds colours or logo. If asked about liveries, it would have to be a three way score draw.

My beloved Midland Red doesn’t get a look in because, in service, the buses always looked as if they had been painted with a distemper brush.

This is not for the bus, it’s for the town.
