Filmed in Spain.

The plot summary says "Louis Rapiere aka Tiger is sent to Port-a-Pitre (French Guyane), to supervise the recuperation of a treasure from a sunken ship". I suppose that should be Point-a-Pitre in Guadaloupe.

There is mistake in IMDB comment. The action is ment to be in Pointe-A-Pitre (French Guadeloupe) and not "Port à Pitre" French Guyane that doesn't exist by the way...
They'd even could make a fake Point A Pitre Airport with the money they saved by filming in Spain instead of real Guadeloupe :D

I think the only things they made were the letters on the roof. :)

Still a bit of a mystery. I am pretty sure it is not a Morane-Saulnier, as for the post-war private planes they used a tricycle gear and not a conventional gear with tail-wheel as shown here. This landing gear layout, being retractable, is rather unusual for such a type of plane. This is more the design used before and during the war for military aircraft.

The registration didn't help, either. I'll keep looking.
