Too sweet familial comedy — "too sweet" according to my taste — in a French petit bourgeois and proletarian setting, early 50s. Some good moments though. But, after the opening credits and the much exciting names of Marcel Aymé —La traversée de Paris— and Pierre Véry —Les disparus de Saint-Agil, Goupi mains rouges—, the final result can't be anything but a let-down.

No fancy stuff in the motor department.
