The french title was changed , but the story too... from a story between FBI and Communists spies, the french version was a story between police and drugs traffickers , because the real story was judged too "anti-communist" for french public at this time (1/3 rd of the people was voting for "PCF" at these times in France ... and "Macarthism" had not many fans here :D )

But when watching the film nowadays, it seems quite exaggerated, because the Sam's Fuller film is not at all a McCarthy's propaganda ;)

This not a NYC Subway. The action was pretending taking place in NYC, but in fact was played in L.A. and most in Hollywood studios.

Pas de quoi, Sixcyl. Pour une fois que je tombe sur ce genre de film une minute avant Pilou. Lui a vraiment l'oeil, et moi souvent la flemme de rechercher dans mes bouquins pour donner le modèle exact. En tout cas merci pour tous les bons films.
