but in some scenes its obvious that only the camera crew actually went to ireland to get some stock film footage..as most of the "speaking" scenes were filmed in the USA (the joys of a TV movie!!!)

I assume that Angela Lansbury was either unwilling or unable to travel to Ireland.

for some reason..quite a few of these "Murder She Wrote" episodes which take place outside of the USA are maily filmed with the main actors not actually being in the country in which its set..they bring in right hand drive vehicles and fit em with fake number plates..although lansbury did film a few scenes in Ireland (unavoidable, she had to be there)..the bulk of the Irish countryside scenes were probably done by a seperate camera crew, then intercut with the US filmed scenes..the pics of the vehicles parked on double yellow lines in the small village looks too "movie set" to be real.....you know some Americans (those whove never been outside their own country),actually do think that scotland looks like the movie "Brigadoon"......Irelands like the movie "The Quiet Man"..all us Brits talk with the same posh accent, wear bowler hats and are personal friends of the queen!!!...and if they film a scene in "Britain", they have to show a red double decker bus and a black taxi (no matter where in Britain its set)..apparently these sort of "product placements" are something to do with appealing to the US viewer.
