antp, stronghold and ben68, I now see that the IMDb website lists the "Inspector Lynley Mysteries" as a series of six seasons rather than separate movies made for TV, as here http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0988820/

Do we still want to list episodes separately or re-organise them as a series? Obviously there would be quite a lot of repeated vehicles that could be combined.

I have pictures for the following, that I am getting ready to add, and restructuring the existing listings would be easier now before many more cars are added. What do you recommend?

Pictures I can add are for...
Playing for the Ashes
In the Presence of the Enemy
A Suitable Vengeance
Deception on His Mind

As with 'Columbo' and a couple of other tv-movie types we have on the site, the Inspector Lynley Mysteries are an hour & a half long each (movie length). Should they be listed as a series? (the imdb is just confusing the matter by now saying it's a series)

Yes, I believe so when shown originally (shown more often sometimes as repeats)
I've just had a look on the IMDB and they don't list 'Columbo' as a series ...but now list the 'Tatort' films as a series?
Confusing.! If we change 'Isp.Lynley...' then i'd guess All the others would have to be changed also? (as they are in the same situation)

I do think IMDb changed it. I believe it was originally listed as "Movie for TV" when I checked before posting pictures in 2007.

As about a third of the series is already completed (7 episodes in 23 currently) I guess we can continue with the current way of listing them.

IMHO it is better to list that as series as some cars are repeated in each "episode"
If not much background cars are listed it is not a problem to have one page per episode though.
Listing it as series is better if you want to be able to list lots of background cars, so they can be combined when similar cars are seen in different episodes.

Thanks, antp.

Typically there is not a high count of cars for the Inspector Lynley Mysteries, even background cars are rare. Mostly 9 to 12 total vehicles per episode. When traffic scenes are shown, which is quite rare for an episode, there are more background cars so increasing it to 20 or 30.

So separate listings for each episode, as currently, is probably best.
