“50 isn't fast, honey.”

#25 in MGM's Crime Does Not Pay series with its plot in the title. Entirely too drawn out for the point it's making. This time around it's the screen's first Captain America, Dick Purcell, who makes an ass of himself and corpses of three others. Richard Lane, Boston Blackie's moronic nemesis Insp. Farraday, delivers a nice dramatic turn as his best friend.

As you'd expect, there are some photos of crashed cars, taken mostly from this board, but I don't know if they merit listing:

There's an extra one as a news item:

Thank you, humungus! Not only does this man make an ass out of himself and corpses out of three others, he also makes a paraplegic out of his wife; she loses both her legs. Never drink and drive, folks.

The middle wreck in the second row resembles a 1937 Ford coupe from the grille bars and the tear-drop headlight.

Individual photographs:
1. 1933-1934 Ford coupe, maybe?
2. 1937 Ford, indeed
3. I see a detail that could be the hood louvers of a 1933 Pontiac or 1934 Hudson Terraplane, maybe? We'll probably never know for sure.

Tipped over truck in the newspaper photo is a 1937 Chevrolet.
