Hi! Some corrections. The Pontiac is Frank's car so I think it should've had more stars. It has a Phoenix on its hood. The phoenix is an Egyptian mythological bird that consumes itself by fire and resurrects from the dead. It symbolises Donnie's resurrection (I guess...) And you missed a Volkswagen Rabbit! As Gretchen waits for the school bus, a Volkswagen Rabbit vehicle quickly passes in front of her. It is great, because a main character in the movie is a rabbit. |

I really didn't get this movie, it was set in '88, but there was really nothing 80's about it. Pretty good dark storyline and twist, but nothing much happened. The part with the Firebird at the end reminds me of it a lot. At least it had a decent car or two in it. |

From the Goofs section of the IMDB page for Donnie Darko: "Anachronisms: The movie is set in 1988, but vehicles have late-'90s-style license plates." -- Last edit: 2008-07-11 16:21:27 |

In one scene Donnie and Gretchen go to a cinema to see The Evil Dead and the Oldsmobile from that film is seen (the one that appears in most of Sam Raimi's films). Should I list this? -- Last edit: 2008-07-11 16:31:48 |

For vehicles from another movie seen on tv/theatre, I usually list these in comments only |
