dsl ◊ 2014-08-22 23:57	Famous prepare-for-the-effects-of-war film - has been sampled for several other things since, including this music video Public Service Broadcasting - If War Should Come. However, within a month of release the original was overtaken by events and a hastily revised version issued in time for the outbreak of war under the more urgent title "Do It Now". I think PSB may have used this remix as there is some new plane footage not seen in the first version, although I don't think it affects the selection of road vehicles in the revised version. For the record, all captures on this page are from the first version. Understement/sign of the times Planes for impdb - as described above there is more footage in the PSB video, which looks like Lancaster factory and flight sequences

dsl ◊ 2016-03-18 00:08	Also included on If War Should Come - vol 3 (1939-41) of 3 BFI compilation DVD sets of shorts from The GPO Film Unit. This might be fractionally better quality reproduction so have replaced a couple of pictures, but result not really any different and does not affect any of the IDs apart from pinning down the numberplate on the SS Jag.
