The year this is set in isn't really specified, though most sites say early 1990s.

There's a deleted scene where Charlie takes his sister to the abortion clinic and he brings her back to his parents' station wagon. Hard to tell what kind it is, though. We never really see the front or the rear.

In the book, Charlie's father drove an Oldsmobile. We never see it in the movie, but I would take a guess and say that the station wagon in the deleted abortion clinic scene might be an Olds wagon.
