@Moscvich433: I've resized the pictures now (consider this a get-out-of-jail-free-card for the time being). A little feedback: first, there's no need to overuse the "vehicle location" feature when the vehicle in question is the most prominent one. Second, many of these vehicles were listed as built in Philippines, when, according to Wikipedia, they aren't. I also had to correct a few mis-IDs, so be sure to leave as unknown if you're less sure about vehicles the next time. That is all, thank you.

I love seeing the old Filipino movies on here. I'll be taking a trip to the Philippines in a few weeks and hoping to see interesting cars to get pictures of.

How come in Filipino Movies in 70s,80's,and 1990's always have 70's or 80's Vintage cars not the pleasant cars like JDM Import in Hong Kong Movies like this one: /vehicle_508021-Mitsubishi-Delica-Space-Gear-1994.html

For one thing, I believe the Filipino market was much smaller, with fewer models available. I think for things like explosions, Filipino filmmakers had access to cheaper cars. It would be better to buy a used up car sold in large numbers for destruction scenes than a more expensive JDM import. The Philippines probably didn't have many JDM cars coming into the country during those years and some of the more common cars could be bought much cheaper anyway, so it made more sense to use them.
As I've said before, I think many of the older cars used were old taxicabs that had been taken out of service.

Probably there were a ton of car manufacturers back them before the economic recession in the 80's. And there was no need importing used cars in the country when there's a ton of distributers selling various American, European, Japanese, and local brands. Some even had manufacturing plants here. Namely Mercedes Benz, few GM brands and more. I'm pretty sure importing used vehicles weren't popular or implemented until the mid-2000's. Cars back the were cheap I guess, buying a used big American sedan would have been okay, but many can't afford high gas prices due to their gas guzzling engines. That made Japanese cars popular here and made American cars forgotten, like as if they didn't exist.

And the fact that Hong Kong is RHD, so they get those cars. Sure we drive on the right side but our steering column's on the left.
