Theatrical release, DVD and shown on film festivals. It has a fictionalized feel because of the comedy element and strange bunch of interviewees, but it's the real story of how the Australian government after some light thinking introduced the South-American cane toad into Eastern Australia, where it's now destroyed much of the native wildlife. Followed by "Cane Toads: The Conquest" in 2010. Number one favourite film of Werner Herzog. |

No. It's one of my favourite 1980s docs - a bizarre story done with a mischievous humour - favourite moment was the VW camper swerving all over a toad-strewn road to squash them to a soundtrack of a fusillade of pops. There was a re-mash a few years ago which polished off the edges, but lost some of the wackiness. And if memory serves, they also did a follow-up on dogs in the 80s. |

I'll leave it at the main three cars. |
