2006-01-18 03:49 | hank Hill had a Ford Ranger, and now has a Ford F250. Peggy has a Pontiac Bonneville. Dale has a Dodge Caravan. |
2006-01-18 12:44 | I think Peggy has mentioned hers car being a Buick. Bill Dauterive have a blue Escort. -- Last edit: 2006-01-18 14:41:20 |
Rocker B. J. 2006-02-05 20:21 | Peggy Hill's car is not a Pontiac Bonneville. I think she drives a Buick Regal, because she mentioned her car being a Buick. -- Last edit: 2006-05-06 18:22:07 |
2006-02-09 04:44 | I just thought it looked like a Bonneville. My bad. And let us not forget, Strickland Propane has tons of Ford F650 trucks. I just saw a few on my friends DVD. |
2006-02-09 12:29 | John Redcorn drives a Jeep Wrangler, the one with the rectangular headlights. |
2006-03-13 20:12 | Peggy's car looks like an '80 Buick Century: http://www.fawcett-movie-cars.com/80_89_cars/1980buicksedan299.jpg |
2006-04-30 09:01 | Boomhauer's High School car, Sally, was a red '65 Mustang hardtop. He also got got pulled over by a cop in a '68 Camaro, and drove a '96 Viper GTS pace car in the same episode. Boomhauer also dated a rich woman with an E-type Jaguar. Cotton has a Cadillac convertible. In one episode, Kahn turns into a redneck and buys an El Camino. |
2006-05-06 16:45 | According to wikipedia, Peggy's car is a 4-door Buick Regal. |
Rocker B. J. 2006-05-06 19:44 | Kahn buys a Chevrolet Suburban but it gets ran over by Bill's APC. |
2006-06-29 01:02 | Peggy's car appeared to be a Bonneville in a few episodes because the grille was split in the middle and had a hexagonal hood ornament, like the Bonnevile-Gs did. However, later evidence shows its indeed a Regal. Cotton's Cadillac became a 4-door convertible in a few episodes and Wayne Pratley's Hyundai Sonata was a coupe with multiple winodw pillars. Odd. |
2006-09-19 00:36 | In "Tankin' It to the Streets" (Season 6, Episode 13) , Kahn drives a Chevrolet Tahoe which gets ran over by a tank. -- Last edit: 2006-09-20 00:33:56 |
2007-01-18 05:34 | In The episode where Khan becomes a redneck He has a 2000-2001 Nissan Maxima and he trades it in for a Chevrolet El Camino |
2007-03-30 07:48 | I finally got a shot of Hank's 1999-ish Ford F-250: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/GrandTrunkFan/kothf250.jpg |
2007-05-04 01:03 | Anybody got any DVD collections? |
2007-05-11 04:48 | In the episode with the cruise-night and when Kahn (correct spelling?) buys the car wash, Hank's boss Strickland buys what he says is a "1969 Plymouth Barracuda", though is clearly a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda/'Cuda (even includes a shaker hood). |
2007-08-31 18:27 | I've got the series 1 & 2 boxsets and I shall be renting series 3-5 |
2007-09-26 19:23 | I've just done Season 3. Now only identify something if you really think it looks like something real. If anything I post looks too generic, I'll delete it. |
2007-09-27 04:10 | Then it belongs in that blank space up there. Hey, did anybody see the Season #12 premier? It wasn't that car-related, but it did have a hilarious line. |
2008-01-22 15:20 | I wonder why in some series like The Simpsons they dont really draw real cars but in others like this one they do |
2008-01-22 15:24 | I think that depends on how adicted-to-cars the drawers are ![]() Probably they refuse to draw real cars for not advertising the car company. |
2008-01-22 15:50 | Even though King of the Hill goes for realism (it would be the easiest cartoon to do in live action), while watching it I realised most of the cars are still very vaguely drawn and generic-looking, they aren't actually that much better than the drawings in other cartoons. I guess the reason is the animators don't have time to put tons of detail into drawings. So most of the background and minor vehicles (towtrucks and things like that) wouldn't be worth listing. -- Last edit: 2008-01-22 15:53:12 |
2008-01-22 15:53 | But they are still well done G-MANN, at least they are real, in other cartoons you can never know what the cars are and they have to be guessed. |
2008-01-22 15:55 | I've listed the ones that I think may be identifiable, but many of the background and minor vehicles could be any American car from the 80s and 90s, so I didn't bother capturing them. I now understand why some members are against listing cartoon cars, because very few of them do justice to the design of the real things. -- Last edit: 2008-01-22 15:57:09 |
2008-01-22 15:59 | Yes in this cases backgrounds arent worth adding at all. |
2008-01-22 15:59 | That's why cartoon cars like that (like in The Simpsons movie) aren't worth listing! |
2008-01-22 16:02 | Ok i take your hint but i dont have any problem on removing them, just to let you know ![]() |
2008-01-22 16:12 | Even with live action film most backgrounds aren't worth adding ![]() |
2008-01-22 16:15 | You need to get it all out? dont hesitate do it ![]() |
2008-01-22 16:17 | To tell you the truth I'm laughing at the people who list background stuff that they'd see all the time on public roads anyway. |
2008-01-22 16:19 | Come on G-MANN as all except you include common background vehicles in each movie ![]() |
2008-01-22 16:27 | I just don't understand where the logic is in listing common, passing-by background stuff. |
2008-01-22 16:30 | That's a background car ![]() |
2008-01-22 16:31 | What is? |
2008-01-22 16:38 | Passing-by/parked cars |
2008-01-22 16:45 | Common today isn't common tomorrow. If it's seen, then include it....didn't we already have this discussion in the forum section. For example, I saw the conversation about the Infiniti J30 being rare, but back in the 90's it wasn't. -- Last edit: 2008-01-22 16:48:15 |
2008-01-22 16:54 | Well each of us have our own opinion and that's all, i dont see anything wrong on listing background vehicles, unless they are as tiny as an ant, others like G-MANN dont even like them although they are visible, though he has added several for his movies, but well, let's not keep this here, if we have anything to say we better go to the forum but we are not gonna reach any point..........again. |
2008-01-22 19:53 | I choose to be selective with background cars, I only add stuff like is interesting or well noticable (appears for longer than a couple of seconds). Anyway, I agree if we're going to talk about anymore, we should go to the forum, not that anyone has ever tried to change their mind about this, even though antp himself isn't keen on having too many background cars listed ![]() |
2008-03-11 23:48 | I've decided to list all the generic/vaguely drawn vehicles in the comments (see the top of the comments section on this page). -- Last edit: 2008-03-12 00:32:49 |
2008-06-18 17:33 | Hey weres peggys new convertible kinda looks like a Chrysler sebring jx |
