2006-11-23 16:45 | There was also the episode in which Ted was given a Rover 216 to give away in a charity raffle. When Ted and Dougal are driving the car back from its donator, there is the classic scene where Ted falls asleep behind the wheel and wakes up the next morning with the car still driving along the right road, only a few miles from home. They get the car back when Ted discovers a minor dent in the wing. He attempts to knock the dent out with a slight tap of a hammer, but after hours of perseverence, the car is covered in dents, like the surface of a golf ball. Ted somehow manages to buy an identical Rover 216 and tries to get his money back by fixing the raffle and winning the car for himself. Unfortunately, Dougal is in charge of the raffle on the day. |

2006-11-25 01:14 | antp the little corgi milk float looks like a commer I think it shoud be on the list |
2006-11-25 09:29 | Certainly. It turns out the friend who supplied DVDs of series 1 and 3 only has the second series on VHS, so I won't be able to get any screenshots from it. Actually, I watched episodes 4-6 of the series only a few hours ago, and they're very sparse on cars. Just a Land Rover Defender, the aforementioned Bell and another view of the Cortina. |
2006-11-25 10:17 | . . . oh, and that barely-recognisable red Cortina that you've also linked to.![]() This Corgi-made Commer from eBay certainly looks like the one in Father Ted. As does this one from The Old Toy Guide. |
2006-11-25 12:16 | We do not list model cars, except some particular cases where they have a big role in the movie. |
2006-11-27 21:13 | Such as? |
2006-11-27 21:41 | vehicle_21691-Citroen-Type-H.html There was also a remote controlled vehicle used to explode things I think, that was the subject of a movie, but I couldn't find it. |
2007-10-20 17:06 | I suppose 'CI' on some of the number plates is supposed to stand for Craggy Island, otherwise they're very old Co. Laois numbers of the old dispensation ... ![]() |
