![]() ![]() “Sometimes history takes matters into its own hands.” A two-part mini-series, an excellent and compelling look at how the US Supreme Court came to declare segregation unconstitutional. Notable for featuring the last performance by Burt Lancaster. Sidney Poitier is some 20 years too old but gives a riveting performance as Thurgood Marshall, especially in part one. Richard Kiley steals the spotlight in part two as Chief Justice Warren. Covers the period from 1950 to late 1954. Leave it to IMDb to suggest Rev. Delaine is played by two actors named Ed Hall. And people call Wiki unreliable... Also, IMDb won't tell you, but Jeffrey "unknown episodes" Wright only appears in part two.
