Completed. Don't know if interesting for the site, it's a documentary I found on an old VHS which was probably of my grandparents I don't even know the release year and the only information I found online is this link on Amazon https://www.amazon.de/23-105-geht-die-Post/dp/B009Q3KQPG It's a 51 minutes documentary about the mail delivery made by DB -- Last edit: 2018-06-05 22:48:55 |

And no better photos of the plates? I'd say, this film is from 1957 or 1958. The Isetta and the Opel have the new plates after the 1.7.1956 and the Mercedes-trucks the pre-1956 Besatzungskennzeichen. I just cannot find the exact date, then the Besatzungskennzeichen expired, but IIRC it was around 1959. |

I rather think the footage was made back then, but the documentary is obviously newer. |

23 105 was the last steam loco to be commissioned Dec 1959! i have seen the steam locos of BR 23 in my hometown until 1976, it is most modern steam locomotive next to BR 10 -- Last edit: 2018-05-18 23:07:43 |

Not possible, if you note this: Link to "www.faz.net" Letzter Stichtag zur Umkennzeichnung war der 30.6.1958 - der Ford-LKW hat aber noch ein Besatzungskennzeichen. |

than Gamer and you are quite right, they have filmed in 1957 - 1958 the Ford FK 4000 and Opel Kapitän look pretty new and the loco is an older 1950+ BR 23 001 - 23 104, but not 23 105 ! After all could be assumed, they have chosen the title for famous loco 23 105 would make more money than! the BR 23 has been stationed in Taubertal Lauda a turntable of the routes Würzburg - Osterburken - Heidelberg / Aschaffenburg - Wertheim - Crailsheim. so living in the lower Neckarvalley near Heidelberg i have seen them every day and rememeber have been talking to a train driver not yet 5 years old in Heidelberg Karlstor quite impressive the red driving wheels Ø 1750mm for a small boy, and how did the train driver get up there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a6I3Sx_tmo it was the BR 23 that infected me with Dampflok Bazillus so thank you AleX DJ for bringing back that memories! -- Last edit: 2018-05-19 00:06:38 |

Here is a close-up where the plate of the truck is more visible: About the filming date: what you all wrote is right and fits with a possible date of late 1950s, BUT... am I mistaken or in this pic there is a 1983+ Ford Fiesta Mk.II slightly visible on the right?? |

It'a a pleasure I like German historic documentaries, I only have to rewatch this with some more attention so I can upload some more pics of the trains |

Ok, the film is not from the 50ies. If yoo look closer for details, you can notice anachronisms, for example the street pavement of the railroad crossing, too wide, too much asphalt. But the plate of the truck seems to be an authentic one. |
