Nothing on imdb, and no useful info found elsewhere, although this article may be relevant. The DVD seems to start abruptly with footage and stops suddenly as if title and credits pages have been removed - my guess is that it may have had a proper title at the time. If another copy surfaces, timings may need adjustment to include whatever intro sequences existed.

However it is a fully professional production - fronted by Dickie Davies who was out there for the filming

and he does the commentary. He was well known ITV sports presenter at the time, so would not have been cheap.

Backgrounds

Land Rover which I think might be camera car - a few very background Landie glimpses seen through film - mostly green, but I think this is only shot of this pale green SWB with something odd on back

a gathering of Renaults in Tanzania near the end - two 4s and a 16

Can be seen on youtube in 2 parts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHiFen_8N90 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQXiUe64maQ - worth watching, even in poor quality.
