Personally I do not like this type of "tuning" - about half a ton of spoilers and big wheels.. |

Neither do I, the only modification or tuning I like is that done under the hood. I like to keep the origenal look on cars. |

I don't like it. Did you know they have a show on CMT called "Trick my Truck" where it's basically "Pimp My Ride" except instead of beaters they use semi trucks. How ridiculous! Why would you want to pimp a semi?! |

This show is just hilariously terrible. The whole concept of Pimp My Ride can't really be adjusted to the UK due to extravagant insurance costs for cars with insane body modifications and silly gadgets like they add in this, costs which most young people simply cannot afford. To make matters worse, the whole show doesn't even attempt to do anything original or adjust the theme to make it more suitable for the UK location. Instead, they copy the exact same formula, with similar stock characters doing the modifications and worst of all, a 50 year old English white man who does a simply laughable impersonation of Xzibit. Yes, that is Tim Westwood. His ludicrous posturing and use of language like "Holla" is so embarrassing to watch, but is simply a train wreck that it's hard to avoid looking at. It's just hilariously bad. Not to mention that he seems to know less about cars than Kellie Pickler knows about geography. He seemed bewildered at the sight of a VW Type 2 pickup and acted like it was something that nobody on earth had ever laid eyes on before, making some ridiculous comment like "THIS IS WEIRD MAN, IT'S LIKE HALF A VW BUS, HALF A TRUCK". If you haven't caught my drift yet, this show is an insanely bad embarrassment. I would like to apologise on behalf of the entire British entertainment industry for making this tripe, that's if any foreigner has managed to see it. It is however "so bad it's good" in many ways and is worth watching for the comedy value. |
